  • Responsibilities

    Performs all exercises and procedures established by the Occupational Therapist. Patient care is provided in the patient’s home in accordance with the plan of care developed by Registered Occupational Therapist.

    • Document, within time frames, observations, patient’s response to treatment, treatment programs, degree of progress and notable changes in patient condition.
    • Communicate and coordinate patient care with other members of the patient’s health care team.
    • Provide patient and family teaching to the patient’s occupational therapy program and patient/family engagement in goal achievement.
    • Provide occupational therapy interventions in accordance with physician’s orders and accepted, evidenced-based professional practices.
    • Assist the patient and/or family to procure needed equipment or supplies.

    Qualifications

    • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
    • Licensed as an OTA in Massachusetts.
