  • Responsibilities

    The Managing Director reports directly to the Executive Director of Overlook Visiting Nurse Association and assumes responsibility and accountability for all operational and growth objectives of the division. Through our interdisciplinary teams the Managing Director is responsible for ensuring humane and dignified social, psychological, and health care solutions for the elderly or disabled client and their families through the delivery of concrete services, consulting, advocacy, and coordination of overall care needs by qualified providers. 

    • Accountable for the total operation of the C.A.R.E. Management and Private Care Team.
    • Plans and organizes objectives, policies, procedures, and staff development.
    • Oversee business functions ensuring proper management of case intake, billing, payroll and related office or paperwork requirements.
    • Participate in growth and development of company/services and development and management of marketing plan.
    • Assist and take referral and lead calls, and overseeing the sales process.
    • Participate in client/family meetings and conference calls as needed
    • Provide community education in various settings includes Council on Aging, Assisted Living Facilities.
    • Participate in various community committees and Boards that are determined to be beneficial to the organization at large. 
    • Ensure that personnel are assigned responsibilities consistent with their education, experience and ability.
    • Establishes and participates in on-call programs and Manager on Duty programs.
    • Act as a resource to other Senior Service Providers.


      *Travel required between Charlton office, Hingham office and the 495/128 corridor. 


    • Certified in Geriatric Care Management
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience providing social work services to geriatric population
    • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in business, marketing, or related field, Master's degree preferred.
    • Experience leading and managing teams in a senior living or health care setting required
    • Must be experienced and proficient in using computers and software applications including: Excel, Word, Publisher, and PowerPoint
