The Director of Sales and Marketing assumes responsibility for securing reservation deposits, full entrance fees and executed Residence and Service agreements from qualified applicants for independent living residences in order to meet or exceed the established goals of the community.   • Primarily responsible for meeting the sales and occupancy objectives as set forth in the marketing plan and budget.
  • Responsible for responding to prospective resident inquiries into independent living through incoming telephone calls, emails, mail-ins and walk-ins.
  • Conduct presentations to prospective residents as part of the sales process in order to meet the established marketing and sales goals of the community.
  • Responsible for securing reservation deposits, entrance fees and Residence and Service Agreements at a level to meet or exceed goals.
  • Responsible for on-going contact with prospective residents from reservation deposit through final closing to assure completion of move-in and finalization of a Residence and Service Agreement..
  • Input lead data and maintain the computerized prospect management system (REPS).
  • Participate at open houses and public relations/marketing events both on and off-site, as assigned.
  • Produces regularly scheduled reports from marketing database.
  • Attend meetings or professional development seminars relative to the position and continued performance improvement.


  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in business, marketing, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a sales/marketing role in either Senior Living, Long Term Healthcare, Real Estate or Hospitality with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Management skills and experience in working with older adults preferred
  • Must be experienced and proficient in using computers and software applications including: Excel, Word, Publisher, and PowerPoint
