Responsibilities

Part-time (8 hours), 3:00 PM-11:30 PM, every other weekend and holiday.

 

  • Independently coordinates the administrative and clinical activities for the Rest Home (Stonebrook) in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care facilities.
  • Directs staff in clinical and managerial decision-making, delegate’s responsibilities to staff.
  • Responsible to direct staff in developing methods of coordination of nursing services with other resident care services to ensure the continuity of the resident’s total regimen of care.
  • Participates in inspection (surveys) made by authorized government agencies.
  • Participates in and assures appropriate assessment of residents, validates nursing staff’s clinical decisions.
  • Participates in development, implementation, and communication of resident’s plan of care. Assures that staff is performing activities appropriately, and recognizing changes in resident status.
  • Makes frequent rounds on nursing unit(s) to ensure that all personnel are performing their work assignments in accordance with established nursing standards, and all that resident’s needs are being met.
  • Performs the 90-day and annual performance evaluation for assigned staff in a timely manner.
  • Monitors documentation procedures of staff. Audits assigned documentation to ensure that all federal, state, and facility requirements are met. Follows-up on problem areas with employees and makes oral/written reports as warranted.
  • Any other duties deemed necessary by leadership.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Three years of nursing experience preferred with one year of Rest Home level care experience required. One year of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Current Massachusetts RN licensure preferred. LPN with necessary experience and demonstrated skill will be considered. Responsibilities for re-licensure per federal and state regulations. Compliance with yearly CEU requirements.
  • Must be knowledgeable of computer systems, system applications, and other office equipment
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
  • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public
  • Must possess the ability to interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures of OMHC
  • Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlesslywith excellent attention to detail
