 Resident Care Associate- 2nd Shift (Evenings)

The Resident Care Associate (RCA) is responsible for providing personal care and service to Alzheimer / Dementia residents. The RCA provides care and program/activity needs to residents while assisting in maintaining a positive physical, nutritional and social environment for the residents, while ensuring they feel safe and purposeful.  Second Shift 3 PM- 11 PM.  Includes one weekend per month coverage.


  • Assists residents with activities of daily living, including meals, bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transfer, mobility, and continence care
  • Observes and reports any changes in resident’s condition (behavior or health), takes action to ensure resident safety
  • Demonstrates knowledge of residents relative to participation needs, physical abilities, interests, cognitive capacity and attention span capability
  • Initiates programming and activities with residents, leading one-on-one, and group activities
  • Provides appropriate interventions to maximize the resident’s social and Activities of Daily Living (ADL) functioning
  • Participates with program staff and residents in daily programs and recreational activities
  • Assures resident information is communicated to appropriate staff regarding appointments, outings, etc.
  • Accurately assesses, communicates, and documents residents’ status
  • Supports the resident’s family and other members of the caregivers team, reports any resident or family concerns
  • Assists residents with medication per state regulations
  • Participates in service plan reviews


  • Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA)
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Must be nurturing, caring, and reliable
